Summer Fun!

We are ready for summer in our house. Can you tell? We have three beach trips planned this summer and hopefully we'll make it to the lake a few times too.

Of course, after the birthday party and feeling better, Dutch enjoys cake...go figure! He also loves giving it to Bella and apparantly decorating the cake with his favorite - Cheezits!

I cannot go to school today said little Peggy Ann McKay...

We are finally better...after two long weeks of Dutch being sick. He was running a fever of 103-104 degrees, had major diarrhea and slept almost 18 hours a day!!! We made three doctors trips and one to the hospital for blood work, but they found nothing so it must have been viral. Dutch is feeling much better and he is back to himself. Here are a few pics of our sick weeks at home as well as some with his new car from Mimi and Pop.

Happy Mother's Day

I know this post is coming late, but I wanted to share what Dutch did for me for my very 1st Mothers Day. We had a great day with family and Dutch made me the best card. Check out my pics below of the preparation....

Dutch's 1st Birthday!!!

On May 16th, we celebrated Dutch's 1st birthday with family and friends. Because our house is so small, we decided to have it at my parents home, where everyone can fit comfortably and we could have most of it outdoors. We had a bounce house for the older kids, but lots of the toddlers enjoyed it too! Dutch was under the weather at his party so he was unhappy with EVERYTHING it seemed like at the party...poor thing had the worst diaper rash ever that day! Oh, and another thing I forgot to mention...with Dutch walking so much now, we are more prone to booboos - hence the blackeye he had on his birthday too :(

I cannot believe how quickly this past year has gone by! It truly seems like yesterday that DJ and I were anxiously awaiting his arrival. He is the greatest blessing in our lives and brings us so many smiles and laughs everyday!

A lot has happened in the past month or so. On April 22, DJ and I celebrated three years of marriage. We are so blessed as a family and I must say each year gets better and better being married to him! He is a wonderful husband and more importantly an awesome dad to our little man! Also on that same day, my sister and husband welcomed their 3rd and final son into the world! Jacob and Joseph are so happy to be big brothers and are doing a great job with the new addition to the family. He is the cutest baby...well, not quite as cute as the Dutchman, but close ;)
