Winter is almost here!

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone! I also cannot believe that Dutch will be six months at the end of this week. He is getting to be such a big boy and is becoming more independent every day. This past weekend, we went to AJ and Kelley's to watch the embarrassing Carolina game. Sarah, Brad and Bradley were also there, so Dutch had a playmate. He was probably envious of the fact that Bradley could cruise around...oh well, someday real soon he'll be doing the same. I pray that he waits until after the holidays, so my Christmas tree stays intact!

Our little scarecrow!

For Dutch's first Halloween, we dressed him as a Scarecrow. He looked so cute and didn't seem to mind the hat :) We visited family and took lots of pics. By the end of the night, he was completely pooped!!!

Jacob, the skeleton, and Joseph, the monster truck driver

Happy Halloween!!!

Here are a few pics after we carved our pumpkin...as you can see, Dutch seems to be feeling much better!

Sick day...more like week!

Dutch has been battling a cold for close to two weeks now. Poor thing, he cannot breathe well to eat or sleep and now has a horrible nasty cough! We just returned from the doctor only to find out he has an ear infection in both of his ears, too. DJ and I have been running on little to no sleep at night, so we'll be so thankful once he is better! On a side note, I cannot believe he is five months old now! Time flies...

DJ put this on him thinking he may be cold!

Oh, and a very Happy Birthday to my friend, Leah! She turned 28 yesterday! We hope you had a great birthday weekend!

Wooly Worm Festival

This past weekend, DJ, Dutch and I headed to Banner Elk, NC, for the Wooly Worm Festival. We have never been to this before and it was interesting, to say the least! It is all in good fun to celebrate the Wooly worm (which, I really can't tell you what that exactly is). It was so beautiful in the mountains with the leaves changing. It was also soooo cold ( in the 30's and 40's)- quite a change from the 80 degrees we've been experiencing. We also went to Grandfather Mountain and Linville Gorge. We had a great time and it was nice to have a family weekend together!
